Hi Deeah! I’m Ada, and Adaphobic.com is my personal travel blog that is focused on budget and DIY traveling.  I’m a wanderlust who prefers to plan my own itinerary and stay away from group tours to be fully immersed in travel experiences that would make my journey a more meaningful one. Traveling for me is a lifelong experience and personal development and not an escape.

In 2008, I flew to Cebu City to celebrate my birthday with my blogger friends. It was my first plane ride and my first solo flight! The experience was very thrilling and remarkable and from there, I discovered that I’m a 99.99% explorer.

In the Autumn of 2013, I tied the knot with my longtime boyfriend and both happily living in Greater Tokyo Area in Japan.

Hi! I just want to thank you for this informative blog post! I was totally clueless regarding the application process and requirements for a tourist visa, especially because I’m still a student, still financially dependent on my parents. I passed my requirements last Friday, March 22 and today, the travel agency told me that I was granted a visa valid until June. yay! Congratulations on your blog :)

I’ve just spent 5 hours on your website/blog and I want to shoot you this quick note to thank you. I am a mom of a 6 year old boy and a 4 year old girl and I am about to leave everything else behind me and just start traveling with my kids. Inspired by your website, I’ve recommended it to all my traveling friends. Please keep it coming! You are awesome!
