Basic Life Support, 2-Day Course at PNRC

Posted by Ada on Category: Nursing | 26 Comments

OMG!! It’s been a while!! What’s up?! Yes! I’m in the middle of processing my applications in various hospitals in Manila, whether as staff or volunteer.

Basic Life Support, CPR
Me, giving compressions to adult victim!!

Last February 15 and 16, we took a 2-day course of Basic Life Support Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (BLS-CPR) at Philippines National Red Cross Quezon City Chapter (PNRC QC). It’s a refresher course for us since our license has just expired. You have to renew it every year by taking the 2-day course again.

Eiris Catalig performing CPR at Child victim
Eiris, too shy to give mouth-to-mouth with her child victim. Don’t be shy at the actual scene ok!!!! Hehehe.

Our 2-day course costs P600 inclusive of certification, a Bronze Philippine National Red Cross card, and handouts.

Other PNRC courses

  • 6-day course – Standard First Aid (AFA) and Basic Life Support (BLS). P1,200
  • 2-day course – Basic Life Support only. P600
  • 1-month course – Swimming, Disaster Management Training, Standard First Aid, Basic Life Support, Fire Intervention, etc. I forget what are the others, but sure it is fun. P1,600

They have various programs and other services and trainings, I just forgot what are those. If you are interested, please call 920-36-72 or 433-21-51.

Basic Life Support, CPR

It’s not required to be a doctor or a nurse. As long as you are interested in saving other people’s lives, you can take the course. If you have questions, you can also drop me a message here.
