According to this youtube user, a 30 seconds TV ad costs P300,000+ depending on the time of airing and TV Network.

Boy and Manny

The newest Manny Villar TV Ad: with Boy Abunda. Let’s calculate the estimated costs of this Ad.

  • 3-minute airtime = P900,000
  • Boy Abunda’s talent fee. Last 2007 Election, Boy Abunda said that he don’t accept talent fees from politicians, I don’t believe that. Let’s say P500,000?
  • TV Ads appears 2-3 times a day
  • Cost is P4,200,000 x 7 days (the Ad is teleserye) = P29,400,000

Enough to build free houses for the poor, industrial for unemployed, free education for children.

About P30,000,000 or more than is being wasted and if they win, what’s next? I’m not just talking about Manny Villar.
