A Delectable Dine-in at FlapJacks, UP-Ayala Technohub

Posted by Ada on Category: Restaurant | 12 Comments

One fine Saturday morning, I invited my friends at work to eat at FlapJacks using the Bring It All Back vouchers that I had for two weeks. There are bunch of restaurants in UP-Ayala Technohub and I haven’t dared to try some of them yet. We always passed by FlapJacks everytime we go to Starbucks or Pizza Hut, but haven’t tried eating there.

Lemon-Pepper Pan Seared White Fish

Most people say FlapJacks is one of the restaurants which serves the best breakfast in the area. However, we opted to try their Bring It All Back meal and ordered their famous Fancy Pancake instead. Here are the dishes we tried:

Being health conscious, I always prefer fish or sea food over meat when choosing meal. Their mouth-watering taste of mildly-seasoned fried white fish sprinkled with lemon and served with herbed rice and chef’s veggies, Lemon-Pepper Pan Seared White Fish, made me the impression to order it again next time I will eat at FlapJacks.

Mango Exotica

I always love mangoes — green or the juicy ripe ones. Delight in the freshness of crisp romaine lettuce, sweet hints of California raisins; grilled chicken smothered with the zesty, tangy taste of mango vinaigrette and almond slivers for that extra crunch, Mango Exotica didn’t failed to satisfy our appetite.

Chicken Stuffed Parmigiana

While this tender cheese-stuffed breaded chicken breast on top of a bed of linguine pasta and marinara sauce is my friend’s favorite.

We also tried their Original Hash Brown Burger, a huge pan-seared all-beef patty topped with hash brown and veggies in a hot bun and served with fries.

Of course, we cannot wait to try their famous and original Fancy Pancakes. It’s FlapJacks!

Meal wouldn’t be complete without desserts and my favorite part when dining :P Itsy Bitsy Sundae it one of their sweet treats.

And picture picture before leaving the place. Thanks FlapJacks and to my wavemates for the wonderful time. Until next dine.

La Terrasse Restaurant might be the next big thing in Palawan

Posted by Ada on Category: Luzon, Palawan, Restaurant | 13 Comments

We just discovered this awesome restaurant in Puerto Princesa, Palawan. This has got to be my new favorite restaurant here in the Philippines. The restaurant wasn’t built yet when we went to Puerto Princesa last April 2010, they just opened July 2010.

La Terrasse Restaurant

La Terrasse

I found this restaurant while reading restaurant reviews in Trip Advisor, I said to myself why not give it a try. Some locals are not familiar in this place. Even our hotel’s driver doesn’t know this restaurant, good thing is that the restaurant is easy to find in the stretch of Rizal Avenue. Continue reading »

Plato Wraps Restaurant, Calasiao, Pangasinan

Plato Wraps Restaurant, Pangasinan

Plato Wraps Restaurant is located in Calasiao, Pangasinan. I can remember many times eating at their food carts here in Manila, their unique grilled sandwich made me try it as it looks healthy too. I was on pesco-vegetarian diet for two months last year and always order their Very Veggie sandwich. It has the right creaminess and texture in the mouth. I also tried Chunky Chicken and Yummy Tuna and both are delectable. They only serve healthy sandwiched by the way.

Plato Wraps Counter

When Mica introduced us Plato Wraps Restaurant, we were like, “May restaurant pala ang Plato Wraps!” (So, Plato Wraps have restaurant). Plato Wraps originated in Dagupan City, Pangasinan.

I like the restaurant’s overall interior, the atmosphere, lights, seatings, and decors, are classic Filipino style. The place is neat and refreshingly comfortable. We were greeted warmly by the staffs and showed their menu. Continue reading »
