Honda Bay Island Hopping, Puerto Princesa, Palawan

Posted by Ada on Category: Luzon, Palawan | 19 Comments

Yes!! My favorite part! Island Hopping in Honda Bay! Our great tour guide Gloria and bangkeros headed us first in Pambato Reef. Pambato Reef, is one of the well known tourist spots in Honda Bay. It is also known as “Mini Tubbataha.”

Manong is trying to pull me down!!
The diver pulled me downward so I can have a shot beside this wonderful reef. I hope this shot is not bad hehehe.

You should wear life-vest while snorkeling in order for you stay on top of the reefs. Stepping on the reefs is strictly prohibited! Ouch. But in my case, I removed the life-vest so I can go far beneath the water and have this shot taken. Please don’t attempt removing your life-vest if you don’t know how to swim.

Snorkeling at Puerto Princesa, Palawan

Since it’s my first time in snorkeling, I can’t help not to drink water from it, the water is very salty! We snorkeled in 3 body of waters and I peed each in it. Bangkeros said fishes and reefs love it!

It’s really amazing to see these beautiful creatures. I have to say that I am lucky enough to witness these Pambato Reefs.

Our next stop is Pandan Island. We snorkeled again. Lot’s of snorkeling!

Pandan Island

Pandan Island is different from the buko pandan thing, I think Pandan is a tree. Pandan Island is another snorkeling and fish feeding spot!!

If you want fish gets near you, feed them. Have some small bread and feed them slowly. I was afraid at first because they look like piranhas, but nooooo fish are really wonderful!

These are the people we met during our Island Hopping.

Our last stop is Snake Island.

Little Mangroves

They have a small beach volleyball area and you can rent ball for P50/hour. There aren’t much trees on the island, only mangroves and baby mangroves, and it’s really hot in this island

Island Hopping in Honda Bay costs P1,100/pax. Your hotel will gladly book a tour for you!

Hi. Love your blog btw. I’m going to stay at the same resort you stayed at in Puerto Princesa (Dangkalan). How long does the honda bay tour take? We’re planning on doing it on our 3rd/last day in PP.

Hi Melissa, it’s a whole tour, we’re up early around and the service left around 8:00am. Then around 4 to 5pm we’re already at the resort. ;)
