Isdaan, Floating Restaurant in Gerona, Tarlac

Posted by Ada on Category: Luzon, Tarlac | 36 Comments

After the Blogger Surfing event in La union, Sago toured us at Isdaan Floating Restaurant in Gerona, Tarlac.

Entrance
Entrance of Isdaan.

Isdaan
The floating restaurants.

Fish Fountains
Small ponds.

Tacsiyapo
Tacsiyapo! FYI: Tacsiyapo is where you place all your anger. You need to buy their breakable plates and even TV to release your anger! TV is worth P2000.

Buddha and Fish?
We did not get the chance to ask why there are so many Buddhas around.

Buddha Floats
Another Buddha.

Buddha, Buddha, Buddha
Carl doing a Buddha pose.

Cory Aquino
Former President Cory Aquino was there..

Jaime Cardinal Sin
And Jaime Cardinal Sin.

Sheep?
Aren’t they lamb? Or goat? I’m not sure what kind of animal is this. Its fur is odd.

Statue's Penis
A statue of waiter, peeing.

Crabs!
We went there for Photo Op only and failed to taste their seafood recipes. I wish to go back there soon to taste their finest recipes.

True! nice food and nice place..2nd visit sana namin this morning.

The place is really nice but don’t ever go to this place during lunchtime! We had our pit stop to this place before going to Baguio just to fill our rumbling stomachs and yet we left with an empty stomach! The food was good but the serving time was approximately an hour or 2. We kept on calling every waiter we see but failed to have the supposed 15-minute preparation food served immediately. According to a friend, you should come visit this place at midafternoon. :) BTW, the Tacsiyapo experience was really great- a MUST TRY! You should try crossing the Sankilo bridge, too. If you do, you’ll get a kilo of fresh Tilapia for FREE. Ain’t that a treat? :)

We went there last Jan 16, 2011 :)

Masarap ang pagkain, but the place is unsafe! Lalo na kung umuulan at basa ang kawayan na tinatapakan. Although it ia apparent that the bamboo is slippery, they have posted no signs nor guardrails to prevent their customers from slipping. Their manager’s lame excuse —–”It has happened before!” Imagine this total lack of concern for customer care!

I can say this because my wife and niece both slipped and fell this afternoon of June 6, 2010 on the bamboo ramp from the floating dampa to the concrete walkway. No assistance was extended while they were crossing and no warning was uttered about the uneven or slippery surface. LACK OF SENSITIVITY FOR CUSTOMER WELFARE is what we felt from this restaurant. If you want to continue patronizing this establishment, PLEASE EXERCISE EXTREME CAUTION!

I am really sorry to hear that thing happened to you and the rest of your family. We just ate there last last week, good thing it’s not raining though, there is something I noticed. When we went there way back in August last year, the floating bamboos were stronger and immobile unlike now one step you make the floating bamboo will kind of shrink!!

Thank for giving us HINT on how the Isdaan Floating Restaurant runs their restaurant now.
