Japan’s heaviest snowstorm after 45 years. We’re struck.

Heaviest snow in Japan

My husband and I are stuck in our house since yesterday. Snowstorm in Japan is rare and the availability of snow blower or street plow is limited.

Streets and sidewalks were usually shoveled by the combined physical efforts of individuals or residents.

And one morning, we just found out that the carport collapsed and crushed our car badly, we’re safe though.

To my friends in Japan, this may be the an unpleasant post-Valentines ever, so stay safe and stay warm in your homes and hearts.

Yikes! That’s a lot of snow :-/ Too bad about the damage to property, but it’s a good thing both of you are okay.

Where abouts in Japan are you staying now, btw?

I hope everything works out well with your landlord regarding the repairs! It’d be almost impossible to drive with a broken window, specially when it’s snowing!

Ron (of flipntravels.com) and I are actually going to Japan in April. We’re starting the trip in Osaka going up to Tokyo. Maybe we can meet up, if you’re not busy! :D
