I lived in Marikina for 15 years and I’m proud of that. Marikina yearly held free concert for Marikenyos to altogether welcomes the new year and have a prosperous whole year with concerts and fireworks display for free.
Together with my sister, we arrived like around 8PM and saw the full crowd in front of the floating stage, called Marikina Ampitheather. I’m afraid that I can not see the APO in promptu. Thanks to Carl who stand behind us and talk to one of the organizer of Marikina Year End concert as we introduce our self as Online Press Bloggers which covers different events. Luckily we were sitting right infront of the stage to comfortably cover photos in the event.
Before 2009, Marikina once again blasted fireworks with rockbands and the legendary APO Hiking Society. They were simply amazing! APO sings so many songs during the night, and from time to time, they crack jokes which makes our whole night so much fun!
And the night will be complete without Marikina’s best fireworks display. Happy New Year!
