just experienced the error few days back… and it would cost me 7,000… where the heck will i get 7k… nwei… i think i will be renaming my camera LAZARUS after that!

Hey Ada, how’s your camera doin’?
I also own a D60 and I’ve been using it for almost a year now. According to most reviews of D60, Nikon didn’t put any period on the actuation of their entry level cameras, maybe because entry level such as D40-D5000 (including D60 of course) are close to Nikon’s digital compact cameras. Which means, shutter actuations are unpredictable.

I haven’t tried going to CDSC yet but I beleive that if you went there in the first place to have your camera fixed, you woudn’t have experienced such disaster.

Anyways, it was an experience and an eye opener to those who depend to much on Hidalgo. Brands have nothing to do with this. As long as you love your hobby. Don’t worry to much on wearing out your camera (I’m pretty sure you enjoyed shooting )

Having a DSLR is an investment (so be practical). Switching brands is unsystematic, unless you’re in the capacity to acquire every brand and accessories that goes with it. (take note)

I have not updated this post yet, but I found the right solution for it, though it costs P7,000.
I had mine repaired at Columbia, Cubao, then all went well. Please please please!! Don’t go to Quiapo.

Waah I was planning to buy Nikon DSLR pa naman. Coz nikon was the cheapest but great in terms of performance. But thats a good point if you are planning to buy cameras or even other gadgets or appliance. You should always check first if they really has a service center here in case of troubles.
