Plantation Bay Resort and Spa Review – Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu

Plantation Bay Spa and Resort

Plantation Bay Resort and Spa is located in Mactan Island of Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu. I have heard of this place 2 years ago and it is one of the nicest resorts in the Philippines. It is a 30 to 45-minute ride from Mactan-Cebu International Airport.

The resort is absolutely fabulous. Funny when I went there, I had to wait Josh for 2 to 3 hours, as he didn’t have his PH number yet, until I started to get impatient and asked if I was in the right resort. “Excuse me, is this Plantation Bay?”

Moving forward, I have mixed reviews of the resort. To start off, the hotel lobby is wonderful and tranquil along with a relaxing piece of music played pianist. The staff are nice, all of them, as one of them even bothered to ask, “Are you okay Mam?” As I was seated on their couch for about 2 to 3 hours.

Inside the resort, they have cute jeepney shuttles which will drop you whatever place you want, be it restaurant or your room. The whole place is powered by WiFi, amazing. Even if you’re inside your room you can still access their wireless connection, fast and reliable. Being an occasional traveler, I am aware that most luxurious hotels always provide the worst internet connection. The internet is either a combination of expensiveness and suckness or free but you-have-to-walk-to-the-lobby-to-access-it. This made Plantation Bay on top of other 5-star hotels!

There are also several restaurants located inside the Plantation Bay. We had dinner at Kilimanjaro and my fiancé even made compliments to their bartender for serving awesome cocktails which I think part of that was thanking him for the right amount of alcohol which made our night very hot after that. What made the whole resort’s overall service experience is their No Tipping Policy. That only means that they do the highest standard of service without worrying how much to tip.

Plantation Bay also have some cool activities like archery, target shooting, and wall climbing. We tried their target shooting and unlike other target shooting center in Manila, you can choose between shotgun and pistol. This was my first time holding a big gun and using it as in a target shooting. Of course, being a gunner, I scored higher than Josh lol.

You can also choose to ride a calesa or a bicycle to tour around Plantation Bay.

We stayed here for only 2 nights and feel like we weren’t able to experience we had pay for like some amenities due to limited time. My fiancé loves watching movie so we need to get out of the resort and ride to the City for his needs. Their taxi service was also great, very professional, and safe going to any destination that you want.

Overall experience: 11 out of 10.
Will we stay here again? Definitely, Yes.
