It is an 8-km navigable underground river which includes stalactites and stalagmites formations and several large chambers composing of limestones. Underground River is one of the 28 finalist for the Official New 7 Wonders of Nature!

Two batch listening attentively to bangkero.
Each batch has 1 flashlight to witness attentively the formation of the stones. There are mushroom-like, dinosaur-like, pseudo grotto, corn-like etc formations. It’s really amazing to see these natural formations.
We are not allowed to touch the stalactites and stalagmites to preserve it’s natural formation. They only allow touching of limestones, but please do not stand if you want to touch it to prevent the boat from weight imbalance. He-he!

Jellyfish-like Stalactite formation
It’s hard to capture the stones inside. The camera flash should be diffused evenly and wisely in order to capture it nice. I failed many times on these.
There is also an unexplainable wind underground. It is very fresh and cool. The bangkero said that it is probably because of unseen holes from the outside of underground river.
There are more photos but I am unlucky enough to capture them perfectly. We also saw the pseudo-Jesus Christ face formation. Believe me, it’s really amazing and beautiful inside!!

Capture after the tour inside the Underground River. We really had fun!!

Before going to the St. Paul’s Subterranean River National Park
