Rock View Beach, Bolinao

The place might not for travelers who are wishing a comfortable vacation spot in Bolinao. No cottages, no resort, no decent toilet. The place was rather perfect for avid campers, adventurers, and photographers.

Rock View Beach, Bolinao

Such very simple place. No electricity, water faucet, and toilets didn’t have door. You need to cover yourself with a big plywood and pray that wind won’t blow it!!

Mad waves silence
First time using ND8 filter borrowed from Kuya Sherwin Garbo

I went here for the first time together with my club members, Marikina Digital Photographers Club. Usually, travel time from Manila to Bolinao is 5 to 6 hours; however, we went there holiday (Maundy Thursday), traffic was really heavy and travel time was 12 hours. Haggardness.

Marikina Photographers on their mark

The caretakers of the Rock View Beach were very pleasant and took care of our basic needs. Since there were no water source in the area, they need to get it from the nearby town proper which is half an hour away from the rock view beach.

Children at Rock View Resort, Bolinao
Children of the care takers.

I’ve learned many things about photography. With my mentors, I learned how to set up white balance to achieve a great result in IR, using ND8 filter, and reversed macro mode. I also learned a joke ass word, from telephoto to teleboso.

Another first time..

There are yet so many good resort in Bolinao. There’s a white house located there but we weren’t able to see it due to time discrepancies. I will definitely go back there with my friends and will bring own tent at that time. You can also browse my complete set of photos here.
