Colonial-Plantation architecture
I have heard of this place 3 years ago and it is so far the best resort I have ever been to. Before, I never imagined myself staying there unless I’m a superstar model or a rich business woman as it is very luxurious, but because of my fiancé, I was able to experience living like a queen in this superb resort.

Plantation Bay Resort and Spa is located in Mactan Island of Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu and a 30 to 45-minute ride from Mactan-Cebu International Airport. The resort is absolutely fabulous; added to its exterior sophistication are the man-made saltwater and freshwater lagoons surrounded by coconut trees. The entire stay will also make you feel like you’re in a tropical plantation or you’re at your own private estate.
A Piece of Italy
It was tagged as a slice of Italy due to its distinctive San Luca Canal which is a replica of Venice City. Along the stretch of San Luca Canal, we were overwhelmed by Grand Canal Shoppe, a luxurious indoor mall featuring world well-known brands and the best boutiques from Paris, London, Milan, and London.

During that time, I was suddenly inspired to travel to Italy or France soon. I already planned to travel there in the next two years. I chose Nice City as a place to stay in France; in fact, I already looked up hotels in Nice online with Venere; whereas in Italy, I chose to stay in Venice.
Spanish colonial architecture

The Resort compound was inspired by Spanish colonial architecture and fortified with eminent red bricks and its lobby was made elegant with extravagant chandeliers, colorful framed posters, and thought-provoking black sculptures.
Upon our entrance we were greeted by 4 young ladies singing an Ilocano song. Walking towards our room, we realized that Fort Ilocandia was indeed a huge resort with numerous accommodation options and the architectural façade was actually inspired from both Filipino and Spanish style.
