A Day in Portland, Maine
Afraid of being caught in a snowstorm, the supposed to be day trip to Portland became an overnight. It was one of the days that I had to appear in front of the Department of Homeland Security officer as part of my residency status change.
Our good friend Michelle agreed to drive us to Portland. Bundled up with warm clothes, we headed to Portland, Lighthouse before we check in to our hotel room. “This was the one in Maine postcards.” I uttered to myself.
The view was extremely vast open and breathtaking; and I felt so small to have seen that this place so big and endless.
The sun went down so fast, it’ll be really cool to stay longer in the park but the temperature was also starting to drop. It was then that we had to finally check in to the hotel room. But we didn’t stop there, we took short a trip to Portland’s historic Old Port and found this interesting spot near the port — Love Locks.
I couldn’t take more photos as my hands were freezing to ice but it was a fun-filled day with my mom-in-law and our friend Michelle as it was followed by a girl’s night out at Buffalo Wild Wings which serves the best chicken wings in town.
